When I began my career designing mainframe computers at Unisys, I had no idea there was a world outside of engineering. But through a series of unbelievably fortunate events, I fell in love with building companies, cultivating talent, and trying to make a difference in the world.
I’ll never be able to properly acknowledge all those people who have touched me. But I can try in some very small way to impart some of those lessons learned. I wish I could say that the wisdom of others osmotically diffused into me. Unfortunately it often took several missteps on my part before learning their teachings. These articles represent a collection of insights from the various personas that I’ve inhabited over the past few decades.
